Poultry and Pigeon Section

Falling as it does in September, Penistone clashes with a big rare breeds show at Melton Mowbray, which sometimes means we struggle for entries. Nonetheless we do draw exhibitors from a fairly wide area ranging from North Yorkshire down to Leicester, and across to the East Coast, Lancashire and Cheshire.

Despite a few sleepless nights, Hayley had a brilliant show last year and was pleased at her first year as the Poultry Secretary. 
She was overjoyed at being asked to carry on as the Poultry Secretary for the show
The classes in 2009 were very impressive so for 2010 she has put more classes on in the true bantam section, and egg section. She has also gained the the Paul Chapman cards again, also this years show is a poultry club voucher show for the very first time.
The judges for 2010 show are Chris Parker who is the president of the poultry club of Great Britain he is from Preston
Harry Caunce from Southport is is very well know with Southport shows
Dick Kinder from Preston
So lets hope for some very good entries and a nice sunny day and keep Hayley busy on her feet again
